Celebrating 20 Years of Band

Wow, 20 years! It feels like just yesterday we were kicking things off with the simple idea to do great work and the rest will follow. Turns out, we were onto something.

Over the past two decades, we’ve been lucky to collaborate with some amazing people and brands — doing good here in Hawke’s Bay, across Aotearoa, and around the globe. We’ve grown from a small team of creatives into an extended whānau of designers, strategists, and writers, all connected by a shared purpose and a love for what we do.

None of this would’ve been possible without the brilliant people who’ve been part of Band along the way. We owe a big thanks to our founders, Al Mackie and Tom Allan, for building such a solid foundation to grow from. To Kate Cavanagh, who now owns and runs the studio, steering the ship for the past 10 years with passion and vision. And of course, to our clients — thank you for trusting us to tell your stories and bring your ideas to life.

Here’s to 20 years of design for good. We can’t wait to see what the next 20 will bring!
